I chose Applied Science because I loved science at GCSE particularly chemistry and because it is a BTEC meaning it is more coursework-based than exam-based. I also like the fact that I can study all three sciences. I have enjoyed all the practicals I have done both for the exam and my coursework. I have also enjoyed researching information for my coursework and learning new things.
The Applied Science teachers are very kind and helpful. They have guided me in the right direction on how to do the coursework as well as the theory. Also, they have made the lesson very enjoyable.
My favourite part of college life is meeting new people and having more independence. At first, it was a bit overwhelming as there is so many people, but I quickly made friends.
The college has been excellent with supporting me with my dyslexia. I was tested for extra time and was given the exam concessions I needed.
